Hey art wizard

I remember back when I was in middle school, we had a digital art class.

Now funny enough we did basic stuff in photoshop in that class at first but eventually (and this is crazy) we had to use Blender in that class.

It's crazy because any time I remember this it feels like a blur because I totally forgot about it up until recently.

This was literally years before I started learning blender myself, so I had no interest in it at that point in my life.

In middle school, the teacher we had was actually really bad at explaining anything.

We were just being told to press buttons without him telling us what they do,

what the difference between object and edit mode is, etc.

And after we made the project that he assigned for us,

(which was really stressful because he would yell at us whenever we pressed the wrong button)

I was like “welp, I'm never touching this software again! It must be impossible!”

Oh... the irony..

Now the funny thing about this is eventually I did pick up Blender again (obviously), but it would not be until years later.

And when I did pick it up again, I had no big goals at first (of course, things have changed a lot!)

But by this time when I had started taking art more seriously, I found an interesting challenge I faced in my head sometimes:

thinking that I was too old, even though I was still "young".

I recently posted a video for those who maybe have thought they are too old for art or something like this, as I know it's a struggle we have all had at some points, regardless of our age.

Anyways, with the Holidays here and New Years around the corner as well,

I wanted to wish you a Happy Holidays.

(I know for many, it can be a time of sadness, if that's the case for you, just know you're not alone!

For me personally, I like the Christmas lights and festive mood,

but have never really enjoyed holidays themselves if that makes sense. I'm the type of person that just sort of prefers "regular" days.

I really feel like the simple pleasures in life e.g. coffee, music, nature, a goal to work towards, are what really do it for me.
